Karen is a dedicated Chartered Professional Accountant and Certified General Accountant, with 25 years of experience specializing in serving small and medium owner managed businesses in Ottawa and the surrounding area. She is passionate about her clients and strives to not only provide professional, high quality service but to educate and collaborate with her clients to provide a comprehensive business relationship.
Karen began her career as an accountant with a Chartered Accountant Firm where she sharpened her skills in owner-managed business, not-for-profit and personal taxation. She continued her commitment to the industry and became a Certified General Accountant in 2003. In 2010, Karen branched out on her own, establishing her own accounting firm where she strives to provide her clients with a positive accounting experience.
In 2008, with support from her family and friends, Karen spearheaded a campaign to raise funds in support of Epilepsy research and education. Since its inception, Fisher and Friends for Epilepsy has been able to raise over $215,000, with events planned this year. She also enjoys scrapbooking, playing the piano and spending time with family and friends in her spare time.
